A Landmark Pyrolysis Project in Southeast Asia: A Win-Win for the Environment and Economy

3 Sets of Pyrolysis Plants in Southeast Asia

Project Background

The client is an experienced company in the local waste management industry. As environmental regulations have become increasingly stringent, the local environmental authorities have imposed very strict standards on exhaust emissions. Any fluctuation in emissions beyond the allowable limits could result in hefty fines. This situation has made the client urgently in need of a waste treatment solution capable of withstanding ongoing environmental inspections and meeting the required emission standards.

Project Overview

  • Types of Recyclable Waste: Oil sludge, medical waste, plastic
  • Use of Pyrolysis Oil: Used as fuel to provide energy for incineration equipment
  • Equipment Model: 3 sets of BLJ-16 pyrolysis units
  • Project Start Date: October 20, 2023
  • Project End Date: October 19, 2025
  • Installation Method: On-site installation guidance

Key Milestones

1. Production Completed

After Beston Group signed the contract with the client, the production team immediately began customizing the equipment. Beston Group strictly adhered to the project timeline, ensuring the production was completed on time and the equipment was ready as scheduled.

  • Contract Signing Date: October 20, 2023
  • Stock Preparation Completion Date: December 25, 2023

2. Transportation Completed

Once the equipment was produced and underwent strict quality checks, Beston Group arranged for its sea transport. To ensure smooth transportation, Beston Group worked closely with a professional logistics company to guarantee the equipment arrived safely and on time at the project location.

  • Shipping Date: February 27, 2024
  • Arrival Date: March 15, 2024
  • Mode of Transport: Sea freight

3. Installation Completed

After the equipment arrived on-site, Beston Group’s technical team promptly began the installation process. The first phase of installation, which included the initial setup and commissioning of the equipment, lasted 50 days, ensuring that all systems and devices were correctly installed according to the design specifications. The second phase involved equipment modifications and detailed optimization, lasting 18 days, to meet all operational requirements and enhance performance and efficiency.

  • First Installation Phase: March 19, 2024 – May 7, 2024 (50 days)
  • Second Installation and Modification Phase: September 7, 2025 – September 23, 2025 (18 days)

4. Commissioning and Training Completed

After installation, Beston Group’s technical team provided comprehensive commissioning and operational training to ensure the equipment operated efficiently and reliably. Each training session focused on key equipment and operational processes, ensuring the operators were fully capable of using and maintaining the equipment.

  • September 13, 2025: Burner operation and equipment process flow training
  • September 14, 2025: Training on feed-in procedures and safety measures
  • September 15, 2025: Main furnace sealing body adjustment and sharing
  • September 16, 2025: Equipment operation training, focusing on pressure, temperature, burner, and combustible gas operation. Operators learned to record temperature and pressure fluctuations and shared the results.
  • September 18, 2025: Dust removal system cleaning, water tank filling, alkali solution preparation, and operation training
  • September 19, 2025: Chemical sludge commissioning training, system pre-checks, and operational precautions during running
  • September 20, 2025: On-site slag removal training
  • September 22, 2025: Plastic processing operation training, including pre-operation checks and running precautions
  • September 23, 2025: On-site training for operators on equipment start-up, shutdown, ignition, operational checks, and data recording
  • September 24, 2025: Joint training with on-site workers on feed-in precautions, pre-operation checks, operational checks, data recording, and handling of emergencies

Project Outcomes

  • Compliance and Waste Reduction: Through pyrolysis treatment, the content of petroleum hydrocarbons and polymers in industrial residues was significantly reduced, meeting local environmental compliance standards for landfill disposal. This ensured the project’s long-term environmental sustainability.
  • Cost Savings and Economic Benefits: The client not only generated income from hazardous waste processing but also significantly reduced operational costs by using pyrolysis oil as fuel. More importantly, the project helped the client avoid potential environmental penalties, reducing environmental risks, while also bringing additional economic benefits to the company.
