Corsair has made strong progress at its plastic waste chemical recycling facility in Finland. Three plastic pyrolysis machines have been successfully installed, with seven more currently under construction. Once completed, the project will further strengthen Corsair’s role as a key player in Europe’s chemical recycling of plastic waste.
The first three of ten new pyrolysis plants arrived in Finland on schedule in February 2025. Despite the harsh winter, Beston Group’s logistics team ensured smooth customs clearance and timely shipment from China. On-site in Finland, the client’s transport team handled the snowy conditions efficiently, completing offloading and delivery without delay. This cross-border effort highlights the strong coordination and professionalism of both teams, setting a solid foundation for the project.
Following the equipment’s arrival at the site, the Finnish engineering team promptly initiated the installation process under the pre-planned site layout. Key tasks during this phase included the laying of high-temperature ceramic fiber insulation, base installation, and crane-assisted reactor placement. All activities progressed smoothly and on schedule.
By March 2025, the condensers and oil storage tanks had been assembled. This part plays a key role in oil yield and has a direct impact on the project’s ROI. All connections were installed strictly following technical standards to prevent any oil leakage during machine operation. At the same time, operation and maintenance platforms were built in full compliance with local industrial safety regulations.
Another milestone was reached in June with the successful installation of the scrubber and exhaust systems. These components are essential for emissions control and ensuring the facility meets stringent environmental standards. Their completion marks a significant step toward commissioning and future full-scale operation.
The installation phase of Corsair’s plastic pyrolysis facility continues to progress steadily, with 3 sets of plastic pyrolysis plants already installed and more underway. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we move closer to full operation!
